The Revenue Multiplier

Meena Sweets — Gemcon Group · CEO · 2006–2021

Meena Sweets was significantly underperforming its market potential. The brand lacked clarity, performance management was absent, and there was no link between individual accountability and business results.

As incoming CEO, the mandate was to transform a legacy food and beverage brand into a commercially disciplined, performance-oriented enterprise while maintaining business continuity.

Implemented a complete KPI framework linking compensation to measurable business performance. Redesigned organizational structure, clarified brand positioning, restructured supply chain accountability, and built a new leadership team aligned to commercial goals.

500% revenue increase over 6 years. Meena Sweets became one of the most recognized brands in its category and achieved Employer of Choice status within the Gemcon Group.

The M&A Strategist

HeidelbergCement — GM HR & Administration · 2002–2006

HeidelbergCement acquired two additional entities creating a 3-way merger with deeply conflicting corporate cultures, overlapping roles, and significant overstaffing. Production continuity was non-negotiable.

As GM HR, the mandate was to harmonize three organizations into one coherent enterprise structure while achieving significant headcount optimization without disrupting a single day of production.

Conducted cultural due diligence across all three entities. Developed unified global grading structures. Designed and executed a data-driven Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS). Built a phased integration roadmap with clear milestones and communication protocols.

Achieved 60% headcount reduction with zero production downtime. Cultural integration completed within 18 months. Became a benchmark case study for the HeidelbergCement global HR team.

The Infrastructure Builder

Ekushey Television (ETV) — Head of HR & Admin · 1999–2002

Ekushey Television was launching as Bangladesh’s first private terrestrial TV network. There was no existing HR infrastructure, no talent pool, no HRIS, and no organizational framework. Everything needed to be built from absolute zero against a hard broadcast launch deadline.

As Head of HR and Admin, the mandate was to build the complete human infrastructure for a national broadcast startup from scratch, in time for a record-setting national launch.

Designed and implemented the complete HRIS from scratch. Recruited 40+ specialized media professionals including journalists, producers, directors, and technical staff. Built all HR policies, compensation frameworks, and operational procedures from the ground up.

Achieved 100% operational readiness for a record-breaking national broadcast launch. ETV launched on schedule and became one of the most-watched channels in Bangladesh.
